Can you tell which of these entrepreneurs is working with a
health condition or disability? Neither can we.
Disabilities aren’t always visible and more than 60% of Canadians are working with some form of barrier or health condition. Everyone’s needs differ and we recognize that only YOU know what works best for YOU.
Community Futures’ Entrepreneurs with Disability Program (EDP) helps people working with barriers or health conditions to start and grow businesses.
The Program offers:
One-to-One Business Coaching
Our group of EDP Business Coaches (many of them entrepreneurs themselves) are available to all Alberta EDP clients and the Program covers the cost of their fees. Coaches are regionally located and work with your local Community Futures office to design the best program possible for you to launch or enhance your business!
Business Plan Creation
We can assist you with creating your business plan, so that it works as a roadmap for you and your business. Again, the Program covers this cost.
We can direct you to available resources and business training in your community. EDP will cover the cost of your training, (to a maximum of $3,000.00).
Access to Repayable Loans for Viable Businesses
We can assist you with accessing business loans.
To be eligible for the Entrepreneurs with Disabilities programs you must:
> Have a self-disclosed disability or ongoing health condition
> Live in rural Alberta
> Have a viable business idea
> Be able to contribute in some way to your business
